When I was 12 years old, I begged my parents to go to the same boarding school my three older siblings were attending. Scary as it may seem, it was sort of like being away at camp but for a lot longer. 🙂 One thing that made being away easier was having my “mom” away from home, DayleAnn. And she had a son the same age as me (well, 364 days younger than me to be exact. But who’s counting, right Kyle?) 

Kyle was like a brother to me and DayleAnn like my mom and our families remained close over the years. 

DayleAnn reached out to me earlier this summer to tell me they were having their family reunion up in Union, Washington and would love to get photos of everyone. I am glad she asked me since I hadn’t seen them in so long and I got to meet their whole family too. 

What a wonderful bunch of people, all lucky enough to be in a family together. Love this group! And all the children of this family were so fun to photograph!
